What should I know before my first head spa?
Which head spa should I book for my first visit?
At GK Hair Haven, choose the Classic Head Spa (60 minutes, $119) for a simple relaxing cleanse, Signature Head Spa (80 minutes, $149) for extended scalp and neck care, or Luxury Sleep Head Spa (100 minutes, $189) for the slowest, quietest experience. See the Signature Head Spa
How long is a head spa at GK Hair Haven?
Between 60 and 100 minutes: the Classic Head Spa takes 60 minutes, the Signature Head Spa 80 minutes and the Luxury Sleep Head Spa 100 minutes. The head spa and facial packages run 120 to 150 minutes.
What should I wear to a head spa?
Wear comfortable clothes with an easy neckline. Hair cleansing is part of GK Hair Haven's head spa experiences, so there is no need to style your hair beforehand.
Should I wash my hair before a head spa?
No. Come with your hair as it is. GK Hair Haven's head spa experiences include cleansing and conditioning as part of the visit.
Is the head spa in a private room?
Yes. GK Hair Haven's head spa is a private room inside a salon at 157 E Palmetto Park Rd, Boca Raton, FL 33432. Appointments are personalized and one-to-one.

How do booking, cancellations and late arrivals work?
How do I book a GK Hair Haven appointment?
Online through Zyloe, GK Hair Haven's booking system. Bookings open up to 30 days ahead and close 2 hours before each appointment time, so a same-day visit is possible when a time is free. You can also call (954) 773-5420 during opening hours. Book online
Can I choose my specialist?
Yes. GK Hair Haven's online booking page lists the specialists you can book, so you choose the specialist and the time together.
What is the cancellation policy?
GK Hair Haven asks for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule, and you can reschedule through the online booking system. Missed appointments without notice may be subject to a fee.
Are GK Hair Haven services refundable?
No. All services are non-refundable. If your plans change, reschedule online or give GK Hair Haven at least 24 hours' notice to cancel.
What happens if I arrive late?
Please arrive on time to enjoy your full experience. Arriving late may shorten your service time. If you are running late for a GK Hair Haven appointment, call (954) 773-5420.
Are you open on Tuesdays?
No. GK Hair Haven is closed on Tuesdays and Sundays. Opening hours: Monday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Tuesday: Closed; Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM; Sunday: Closed.

What happens during a head spa?
Do you wash and blow-dry my hair?
Yes. All Head Spa and Scalp & Hair Therapy experiences at GK Hair Haven include a complimentary finishing blow-dry. Styling services are not included.
Will I fall asleep during a head spa?
You are welcome to rest quietly during a GK Hair Haven head spa. The Luxury Sleep Head Spa has the slowest pace, with warm eye and towel rituals and extended waterfall therapy. It is a relaxation experience, not a sleep treatment.
What is head hydrotherapy?
Waterfall therapy is a gentle water step at the basin during a GK Hair Haven head spa. Water runs over the hair while you rest. The Luxury Sleep Head Spa gives this part of the experience more time.
Can I ask for lighter or firmer pressure?
Yes. Tell your GK Hair Haven specialist at any point and the pressure changes straight away. A head and scalp massage should feel relaxing, never painful.
What is the hot compress eye mask?
A warm eye ritual helps you settle into a quiet moment during GK Hair Haven's Luxury Sleep Head Spa. It is paired with warm towels, slow scalp techniques and extended waterfall therapy.

What if I have a scalp or hair concern?
What is a scalp analysis?
A close-up camera look at the scalp. GK Hair Haven's Scalp Detox & Balance Treatment includes microscopic scalp analysis to help select products for your individual scalp condition, followed by targeted exfoliation, specialized cleansing and soothing care.
Is a scalp analysis a medical diagnosis?
No. The scalp analysis at GK Hair Haven is a cosmetic look at the scalp to choose products and steps. It does not diagnose any condition. If you are worried about hair loss, a rash or persistent flaking, a board-certified dermatologist can examine your scalp.
Which treatment should I book for an oily or flaky scalp?
GK Hair Haven's Scalp Detox & Balance Treatment (80 minutes, $159) is designed for oily, flaky, itchy or buildup-prone scalps. It includes microscopic scalp analysis and products selected for your individual scalp condition. Compare the scalp treatments
Do your scalp treatments regrow hair?
No. GK Hair Haven's scalp treatments are cosmetic care that cleanses, soothes and nourishes the scalp; they do not treat hair loss or regrow hair. The Hair Growth & Scalp Renewal Treatment is a relaxing, nourishing ritual for thinning-looking hair, and a board-certified dermatologist is the right person to find the cause of hair loss. Can I book a head spa if my scalp is sensitive?
Tell GK Hair Haven about sensitivities before booking so you can discuss products and the right service. Chinese Herbal Scalp Ritual uses botanicals and essential oils, so mention allergies too. If your scalp is red, inflamed, broken or painful, please see a dermatologist first.

Which scalp signs need a dermatologist before a head spa?
See a board-certified dermatologist before booking a head spa or scalp treatment at GK Hair Haven if you notice any of these signs:
- Sudden, patchy or rapid hair loss
- Hair loss with itching, burning, pain or tenderness
- Red, scaly or oozing patches on the scalp
- Flaking that does not improve with a dandruff shampoo
- Scaling beyond the scalp, such as the eyebrows, ears or sides of the nose
- Hair loss together with tiredness, feeling cold or a change in weight

GK Hair Haven's services are cosmetic and do not diagnose or treat any condition. The team is happy to work alongside the care a dermatologist recommends, so share any advice you were given before your treatment begins.

Which facial should I choose at GK Hair Haven?

What is a Gua Sha Sculpting Facial?
GK Hair Haven's Gua Sha Sculpting Facial combines traditional gua sha techniques with customized skincare for a refreshed, sculpted-looking appearance. It is cosmetic facial care, not a medical procedure.
Who should check with us before a gua sha facial?
Tell GK Hair Haven before booking a Gua Sha Sculpting Facial if you take blood thinners, are pregnant, or have an active skin condition or irritated skin. Gua sha should not be performed over irritated or inflamed skin.
What is Heated Hand Therapy?
Heated Hand Therapy is an enhancement at GK Hair Haven: a nourishing hand mask, heated gloves, warm towel care and moisturizing treatment. It adds $30 to your experience.
